A club my friend takes part in put on a fashion show, so she invited me to model with them. My foundation is a good bit darker than my actual skintone, but it was a happy day nonetheless. ;3

OH! I forgot to mention something relatively important. I'm strongly considering applying to God's Girls. The attitude of Suicide Girls kind of annoys me, and their contract is horrible. Besides, their pretentious little followers probably wouldn't consider me "alternative" enough for their tastes. If I decide to jump on board, I'll certainly let you all know.

I dyed my hair purple again. Unfortunately, I can't find permanant dye in the shade I love so much, so it always washes out after a week or two. ;.; I'll have to find a professional who can help me keep it like this.

I get where you're coming from. I did some work on the backend of SG with Olivia many moons ago and quickly found out Missy wasn't actually running the show and they thought by giving me a free life time membership they could dock my fee significantly. I later found out from a few other freelancers that I wasn't the only one they'd done it to.

Their contract was heavily stacked against the models and while it's not as horrific as it was it's still pretty bad.

That said it's still the best exposure an "Alt" model can get online. GG has a subscriber base / community a fraction of the side (mostly due to it's membership fees) but also because it's profile is much smaller. A lot of the models who appear on GG and other sites made their name and following on SG and many still do. Also GG tend to expect more on a shoot from it's models.

The whole thing kind of sucks, it's much easier to stare at lovely naked tattooed ladies when you're oblivious to the bullshit. It doesn't stop me doing it though.

Give some serious thought to it and if you do want to take that route, I'd recommend GG for a "give it a shot" thing, SG if you're planning to make a career of it. Ultimately that's just a stranger's (mine) opinion.

Hey Miss Freckles, I've been a photographer for close to 10 years and thought I'd add in my two cents --- I know little about this "GodGirls" site but I know that the SG site is an absolute joke.

They pay very little, and get you EXCLUSIVELY for (I believe) a full year AFTER you quit the site. Yes, re-read that --- You shoot for them, decide to quit a few weeks later, and they have you EXCLUSIVELY FOR A FULL YEAR.

I know this because I've shot several girls over the years who were sucked into that horrid contract and had to shoot under different names to avoid SG finding them.

Anyway, these were their policies as of a few years ago so I have no idea if you'd be stuck under similar draconian rules today but be sure to read the contract thoroughly.

Oh, and you have a great look - I'd totally assume you'd be able to make some decent side money from nude shooting.

The worst part is that you're competing with so many girls to get on the front page and get that paycheck, and it might be months or even a year between sets you're paid for. God's Girls has NO contract and NO crap about exclusivity, and you can send in/make money from a DIY set anytime you want.

So everyone, I just submitted my GG application. Big step! I'm very excited. I love you guys much. Thank you for helping me feel cute and likable way back in the day when I thought I had nothing to offer. That support has played a role in me now having confidence out the wazoo. Yeah, the SG contract at present is only marginally better than it was, like I said, only worth considering if you intend to stick at it and want the exposure.
